1.Real Time Intraday Live Data is
downloaded by ODIN from the various exchanges country wide (NSE - Cash & FO,
BSE, MCX & NCDEX). This data once downloaded can be sent directly to
your Technical Analysis Software (Amibroker or Metastock) using the 'TDI -
International' software. All this once started, happens automatically, so that
you can concentrate and work meaningfully & fruitfully on your own
charts.
2.To start this, we first need to understand how the data will flow from ODIN. If you do not have an ODIN account, you will need to open one with a broker who can provide any such service. In case you have an issue, we can also help you contact brokers who can help you. Once you have ODIN setup on your computer along with the access rights, make your own market watch of the tickers you need, as shown in the picture below.

3.To start continuous data flow, you will need to right click on each ticker which you want to import and select 'Graph It'.

4.This will open the chart / graph of that ticker. You will need to open the graphs for all the tickers you want to import. After opening these graphs once, the data starts to flow and the graph can be closed. Your ODIN is now set up and we can now progress on to move the data onto Amibroker & Metastock.

5.Users who want ODIN data to go to Metastock, need to select the database folder from the General Settings (6th button from left on the Home Tab on the top in TDI – International), as to where they want the data to go. This has been shown in the picture below. These folders can be changed if you so desire. Also, in the General Settings, go to the bottom of the page and make sure that "Start with a Clean Directory" is not selected, else it will delete all your saved data every time you start TDII.

6.The ODIN Importer module can be started by clicking the 3rd button from the left on the Home Tab of the TDI – International Software.
7.Once the ODIN Importer module starts, please select the Technical Analysis software to which you want to import the data to, from the “Charting Options” at the bottom left corner of the module. Once selected, it will always show the same software; the next time you run it.

9.Having selected the data folder, you will see the tickers which are there in this folder. These are the same tickers for which you selected 'Graph It' in your ODIN.

10.You can fill the 'Alias name' column and change the name of the ticker which is finally imported to your technical analysis software. After you have entered an Alias name, you will be able to see the chart of the Alias name and not the ticker. See the picture below. This if used smartly, can be used to merge the backfill data from yahoo & PIB, giving you a potent back fill option. This is because there is no option of backfill solely from ODIN.

11.Now Click on Update charts and see the data from your folder flow to the charts and continue flowing Live thereon, till your ODIN is kept running in the background. See the charts of ticker code '203454' importing as 'Silver' in Amibroker after we selected 'Silver' as the Alias name.

12.Use Amibroker to view the chart in different time frames. 1 min shown above & Tick by Tick as shown below. The data in Amibroker will get imported to the 'Currently open Database'. Make sure the correct database is open before you click ' Update Charts'. In case of Metastock, the data will go to the folder you selected in your General settings.
